Chloë Grace Moretz stars in 'The Peripheral,' the new Amazon series

Born February 10, 1997 in Atlanta, Georgia, Chloë Grace Moretz is the youngest of five siblings. At a very young age, she discovered a passion for comedy, in particular by seeing her brother Trevor (in the photo) rehearsing a play for his school.

In 2003, Chloë moved with her mother and brothers to Los Angeles. She took her first steps on set while playing in two episodes of the legal drama 'The Guardian' (2004). From there, everything went very quickly for the little girl, as she immediately landed a role in a famous horror film...

In 2013, she put on the superheroine costume of Hit-Girl for 'Kick-*** 2'. In the same year, she resumed the iconic role of Carrie White in the remake of 'Carrie,' directed by Kimberly Pierce.

Exposed to the media from a young age, the actress recently revealed that criticism on social media affects her very much. She has even developed body dysmorphia, a disorder that causes a person to be obsessed with a physical defect, whether real or imaginary.

The actress' body dysmorphia got worse because of a meme posted on social media. She told Hunger magazine that there was "one meme that really affected me, of me walking into a hotel with a pizza box in my hand. And this photo got manipulated into a character from Family Guy with the long legs and the short torso." It really hurt the actress.
