This comes after NST Online reported that Malaysian singer and actress Bella Astillah has filed for a fast-track divorce from her husband, Singaporean singer Aliff Aziz, marking the couple's second divorce.

According to The Straits Times, Malaysian religious authorities detained Singaporean actor-singer Aliff Aziz and Malaysian actress Ruhainies for breaking 'khalwat', a specific modesty law. This isn't the first time the married Singaporean actor has drawn flak for being 'too close' to other women.

Born on February 16, 1991, Singaporean actor-singer Aliff Aziz shot to fame when he won the reality singing competition ‘Anugerah’, which was hosted by Mediacorp. He caught lots of attention back then, as he won the competition when he was just 16.
Other than singing, Aliff Aziz branched out as an actor later in his career when he starred in the Malaysian comedy ‘Antara Kita’.

Despite success in Singapore, Aliff Aziz is now professionally based in Malaysia, reports The New Paper. In Malaysia, the actor-singer has earned a reputation for being a ‘bad boy’ due to accusations of his “lack of professionalism”.

In his personal life, Aliff Aziz is married to Malaysian actress-singer Bella Astillah. The two have been divorced from each other once, but have reconciled and have two children together.
Aliff Aziz and Bella Astillah have had their fair share of controversies together due to the Singaporean actor’s infidelity.
The Straits Times reported that when the two divorced in 2019, Aliff Aziz was accused of cheating with many women, including actresses Alifah Nasir and Oktovia Manrose.
Aliff Aziz has also been involved in a number of individual scandals. One such scandal occurred in 2020, when he was arrested and imprisoned for stealing from an Indonesian actress, reports The Straits Times.
The same report from The Straits Times continued, that Aliff Aziz had a similar prior offence in 2014, when he was arrested for stealing mobile phones.
Stomp had also reported that Aliff Aziz had also been spotted by the public and detained for misbehaviour on multiple occasions, one of which had caused him to be jailed for two weeks.
Despite the darkness and difficulties he faced, Aliff Aziz was able to overcome his scandals and reconcile with his ex-wife Bella Astillah. Following their reconciliation, The New Paper reports the two remarried and had a daughter.

Interestingly, back in 30 January, Yahoo reported that Bella Astillah had issued a warning to Aliff Aziz’s co-star, who was not revealed back then on a “current project”, for being too uncomfortably close with her husband.
The New Paper reports in March 9 that Aliff Aziz had been arrested by Malaysian religious authorities for ‘khalwat’, known as when “an unmarried Muslim couple (are caught) in solitude”.
Given the current controversy, when Mothership reported that Aliff Aziz has been detained alongside his co-star Ruhainies, who are both filming 'Terjerat' together, it is reasonable to assume that the co-star with whom Bella Astillah was upset is revealed to be Ruhainies.
According to The New Paper, Aliff Aziz and his co-star Ruhainies were apprehended in the early morning by Malaysian religious authorities after a whistleblower from the public reported seeing him enter the actress' condo on multiple occasions.
Ruhainies is a Malaysian actress and model. She is also known for being the younger sister of fellow Malaysian actress Risteena Munim.

Ruhainies shot to fame when she played a dual-role in the Malaysian TV3 drama ‘Hello, Mr. Perfect!’ which won her an acting award during the 2016 Anugerah Drama Festival Kuala Lumpur.

In response to her latest controversy with being detained by religious authorities with Aliff Aziz for violating modesty laws, The New Straits Times reports that Ruhainies has now been blacklisted by Malaysian veteran producer A Aida’s future works.

The report from The New Straits Times continued that Ruhainies was supposed to act in one of A Aida’s works, ‘Elham Untuk Nian’, which was due for release in April. She has since been replaced by Bella Astillah, in a surprising twist.

Even more shocking news is that The New Straits Times reports in another article that Bella Astillah herself has since withdrawn from the production of ‘Terjerat’, which had not only her husband, Aliff Aziz, but also Ruhainies starring alongside in the project.

Despite Mothership's reports that both Aliff Aziz and Ruhainies have claimed on social media that their detention by Malaysian religious authorities was a misunderstanding, their names have yet to be officially cleared from the offence of ‘khalwat’.

Despite the update on March 14 by The Straits Times that Bella Astillah has decided to file for divorce from Aliff Aziz since the scandal, there has yet to be an update given by Malaysian religious authorities regarding the 'khalwat' scandal between Aliff Aziz and Ruhainies.

Bella Astillah was reported by The Straits Times to have publicly filed for divorce from Aliff Aziz on March 14. However, it appears that the actor has gone back on his word to allow for a fast-track divorce from Bella Astillah, reports Channel News Asia.

In an April 4th update, Channel News Asia reported that Aliff Aziz had reneged on his agreement to grant Bella Astillah a fast-track divorce in the second hearing of the divorce case, claiming that he still loves his wife and wanted to save his marriage for his children.

According to 8days, Bella Astillah gave a tell-all to the Malaysian press the following day. She revealed that Aliff Aziz had cheated on her not only 11 times, but also with her own younger sister, and she had evidence of all alleged instances of his infidelity to present to the courts.
According to the same 8days report, Bella Astillah revealed more damning details about Aliff Aziz regarding the 'khalwat' scandal, including the fact that he had visited Ruhainies in her flat eight times in total, according to GPS records, and had initially kept quiet in the hopes that the couple would come clean to her.
What was more surprising was that Bella Astillah admitted to cheating herself. According to Yahoo, Bella Astillah admitted to cheating on Malaysian actor Muaz Zabir sometime in 2023 in order to retaliate against Aliff Aziz's repeated instances of infidelity.

In the latest on the news, Malay Mail reports on April 22 that a Singaporean woman, a non-celebrity going by Sarah Yasmine, has come forward to declare that she has been Aliff Aziz's girlfriend since January.

According to the same Malay Mail report, Sarah Yasmine posted on Instagram about her relationship with Aliff Aziz and how they met, revealing that the two grew close as a result of him confiding and complaining about his married life with Bella Astillah in private chat.

According to The Straits Times, Sarah Yasmine's confessional was prompted after the publication of Aliff Aziz's 'khalwat' scandal, and she got angry when she discovered alleged evidence that Aliff Aziz was cheating on her with the Malaysian actress Ruhainies.
