Where would you live?

Do you live in one of the world’s best cities for your health? This a weird question but it’s also one that you might want to know the answer to since where you live can have a big impact on your health. Luckily, there’s an easy way to find out.

Analyzing healthy living

Health News compiled a list of the world’s healthiest cities to live in and published all of that data on its website. Forty of the biggest cities on the planet were analyzed using ten metrics and may be surprised by which cities topped the list.

What metrics were used?

What were the metrics used? Everything from their happiness index and sunshine hours to their average workweek hours per employee and physical activity hours per week got covered but some extremely weird metrics were also analyzed.

Other important metrics

For example, Heath News analysts also looked at normal stuff like each city's air quality index and obesity rates as well as the total number of hospitals and the cost of a fitness membership. But they also looked like people’s average sleep!

The price of bottled water counts!

One of the most interesting metrics used to rank the top ten healthiest cities of the forty that were analyzed was the price of bottled water in the city, which could vary wildly by city. Bottled Water in Geneva ran $4.77 but only $0.50 in Beijing.
